The Socrative Assessment technology fits the Augmentation level of the SAMR model. Students get immediate feedback with an explanation if they get an answer wrong which could not be done with a paper quiz. Also, the teacher gets a report of results that can be pulled into an Excel document for record keeping. Students get more feedback and teachers save time on grading papers. This assessment technology successfully fits within the TPACK model because it allows students to use technology which involves content knowledge from the standard. Teachers are able to use the Socrative technology to assess students and improve their pedagogical knowledge as well.
